The sustainable growth of Pastificio Liguori di Gragnano

Pastificio Liguori stands out for its unique know-how handed down from generation to generation, which is now reflected in its certified production Method, characterised by Slow Drying at low temperatures.
The constant search for quality and process innovation create the ideal combination of history and modernity that has always characterised the Pastificio.

Attention to sustainability is primary for the Liguori company, which is why it was decided to make an important investment in the implementation of a 10 MEGAWATT photovoltaic plant for the production of energy from renewable sources.

“Thanks to this important investment, we will create a photovoltaic park for the production of energy from renewable sources, which will lead us, by 2025, to produce and feed into the national grid the amount of clean energy equal to the annual energy needs of the pasta factory. We are proud to be the first pasta company to achieve such a goal, which projects us to be an industry with a very low environmental impact in the near future."

Salvatore Casillo - General Manager Pastificio Liguori

The investment will save about 5,840 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

In addition to this major project, a 522KWh system will be installed at our industrial complex for direct self-consumption.

This means that this investment will allow the company to self-produce, by December 2024, about 70% of its energy needs (electricity and heat) from renewable sources, which will be increased to 100% within a year with a further investment.

We are therefore proud of this important project that will make Pastificio Liguori completely self-sufficient and green in terms of energy by December 2025.
