An iconic format in the Neapolitan tradition, calamarata is traditionally served with a sauce of cherry tomatoes and squid. The name calamarata (from “calamaro”, “squid”), in fact, derives from the resemblance this pasta format bears to the squid rings with which it is very often dressed.
